My wife and I are both self-employed for the last 20 and 15 years respectively. We found a house we loved, the seller was motivated, inspector loved the structures -- all we needed was the mortgage. Unfortunately it was December of 2007 and, as the mortgage markets melted-down around us, only one lender kept their head together, worked with us and got us the loan we needed in the timeframe we needed. Our bankers at QL shared information with us and never left us feeling in the dark. In the second week of January when things became suddenly shaky, the QL team got things sorted out within hours and we closed mid-January of 2008.
