This refinance was excellent in many regards. It was efficient and the staff were professional and accessible. The only reason we chose Quicken was because it had an exclusive relationship with our previous lender to work out loans. This relationship made the deal very tempting for a number of reasons, but some elements of the deal were inflexible or not transparent. The interest rate seemed inflexible (a good rate, but we probably could have gotten a tiny bit lower elsewhere) and some questions could never quite be answered. I am not sure if this was the fault of the Quicken staff; they were processing on the terms the other lender had determined in advance. Ultimately, I believe we still got a very good deal, and there was no doubt that the process was very efficient. I would certainly recommend Quicken for its online processing and speed and ease of closing.
