Brian was excellent and contacted me within minutes of my Lending Tree application. Everything that happened after his inital contact was great -- from the appraisal arrangements, process, the appraiser, the continual contact from the QL staff, and through the servicing assignment process -- was absolutely top notch. Everything was very clearly presented, explained and well-designed. I was very impressed. My only complaint was intensity of the initial contact. It was clear that Quicken Loans' philosophy is to do a "hard sell." You know your business better than I, but I very nearly went elsewhere when asked for the up-front $500 deposit. In my opinion, your initial contact process makes you look like a third-rate sleazy mortgage broker you hear in the news to run away from. That experience didn't not match up -- at all -- with the totally excellent experience I had from that point forward. I think you're missing out on some business by needlessly being so "hard sell" at the start.
