The entire application/approval process went very smoothly with no surprises. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said regarding the Seller and the Listing Agent (a formal complaint to the Florida Real Estate Commission is in process); despite those drawbacks, my contacts at Quicken Loans acted in a very professional and courteous fashion and made up for the other shortcomings. Having been in bank data processin for almost 40 years and armed with a thorough knowledge of the secondary market, I realize that Quicken Loans is in business to make, then sell mortgages. I was very disappointed, however, to learn that my mortgage will be serviced by Countrywide Home Loans. I am a firm believer that Countrywide was a prime contributor to the housing market collapse and, based on comments from their CEO, tends to be brusque when dealing with clients.
