I've had various mortgages and refinanced several times before. For my current home I looked into several mortage sources seeking to refinance but did not receive a rate making the refinance worth while. Then a coworker told me the rate Quicken Loans quoted him. It was much lower than I had received. The rate would enable me to switch from a 30 year mortgage to a 15 year mortgage with only a $100 increase in my monthly payment. He put me on the phone with Justin Stuart the Quicken Loans Senior Mortage Banker who confirmed the rate. I thought it was a scam. I took Justin's number and said I'd call back. I looked up the Quicken Loans website and called the toll free number. I asked if they had a Justin Stuart. They said yes. I was still skeptical that a conman, fishing for my financial information may have been using Justin's name, so I asked if they could connect me to him. When they did it was Justin Stuart, the man I had just spoken to. I filled out a form, provided the statements they requested and was done in 1 week! They mailed me an advanced copy of the closing documents. I was still concerned about a con, so I took them to an attorney who quoted me $250 to review them. The attorney called me back the next day and said he had never seen a more professionally prepared package. It was bound like a book. Everything was completely standard with detailed explainations in plain English for each of the documents it contained. The attorney said it was so simple and straight forward he cold not charge me the $250 I agreed to pay. I've never experienced a company this professional and efficient. I tell everyone.
