Being a first time home buyer, especially in this market, I was nervous and a bit intimidated by all the choices and decisions that faced me. I originally contacted Michael Telekesy of Quicken Loans a year ago when I first entered the market for a house and a mortgage. Michael and his entire team were beyond helpful. My experience with Michael Telekesy and with Quicken Loans could not have been better. In the middle of the house shopping process I switched Real Estate agents and allowed myself to be talked into going with a different Mortgage Bankerâ€¦ long story shortâ€¦ 10 days before my scheduled closing on a house that took almost a year to find, the other mortgage bank backed out of the deal. Panicked, I phoned Michael; even after I had not talked with him in several monthsâ€¦ he acted as if we had been working together the entire time. He and his team at Quicken Loans were able to get my mortgage together in just under 3 weeks. They worked fast and professional to make my dream of being a home owner for the first time come true. I couldnâ€™t be happier with my experience and would recommend Michael and Quicken Loans to ANYONE in the market for a home loan!!! GO Michael!! Go Quicken Loans!!

Working with Rick Diaz was great!

I had previously worked with another lender and was totally dissatisfied with the whole experience. They were slow to respond and wouldn’t return calls. The other lender used an appraiser that was totally incompetent. They put the wrong number of bathrooms in the home and used comparable homes outside the school district. I challenged the appraisal value but the broker did nothing to help. They actually tried to strongarm me into going through with the loan even though I was going to have to come up with a substantial amount of cash at closing. I eventually called off the closing and forfeited my “upfront fee”. I was sure of my home value but needed someone to go the extra mile to make the refinance work.

I told Rick about my first experience with the other lender and he understood my frustration at the process. Something about his attitude allowed me to trust him so I took the chance and went with Quicken Loans. He actually made you feel like the customer came first….go figure! He made sure all my questions were answered throughout the entire refinance process. Rick made sure he was available after hours and on the weekends which really made the whole process go smoothly. He kept me informed and followed through until the final closing. Working with Rick changed my opinion of how a mortgage broker should be. The appraisal came back too low again but this time Rick had another appraiser come out and did a great job at documenting the upgrades we had done in our home. The value came in at an amount higher than necessary and we were able to refinance our home!

This was my first time doing business over the phone, my first contact with Quicken Loans was Carson Kelly, I was and still am supprised how smooth the process went. I’ve had various mortgages and refinanced several times before. For my current home I looked into several mortage sources seeking to refinance but did not receive a rate making the refinance worth while. Then a coworker told me the rate Quicken Loans quoted him. It was much lower than I had received. The rate would enable me to switch from a 30 year mortgage to a 15 year mortgage with only a $100 increase in my monthly payment. He put me on the phone with Justin Stuart the Quicken Loans Senior Mortage Banker who confirmed the rate. I thought it was a scam. I took Justin’s number and said I’d call back. I looked up the Quicken Loans website and called the toll free number. I asked if they had a Justin Stuart. They said yes. I was still skeptical that a conman, fishing for my financial information may have been using Justin’s name, so I asked if they could connect me to him. When they did it was Justin Stuart, the man I had just spoken to. I filled out a form, provided the statements they requested and was done in 1 week! They mailed me an advanced copy of the closing documents. I was still concerned about a con, so I took them to an attorney who quoted me $250 to review them. The attorney called me back the next day and said he had never seen a more professionally prepared package. It was bound like a book. Everything was completely standard with detailed explainations in plain English for each of the documents it contained. The attorney said it was so simple and straight forward he cold not charge me the $250 I agreed to pay. I’ve never experienced a company this professional and efficient. I tell everyone.

I had attempted to purchase a home with two other mortgage companies before coming to Quicken loans. The previous companies told me it was impossible and that I would not be approved. Obviously they were wrong because I am officially a homeowner! Quicken Loans did a wonderful job with reducing the stress of a first time home purchase. I absolutely love the speedy service and the e-sign feature is great! They honestly care about their clients and work hard to make things happen and include you in every step of the way.
